• Young Jin Choi, Music Technology, Sound Design, Audio Recording

 

For two decades, Youngjin Choi has been a successful composer and record producer. With an
M.F.A. in Sound Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and
additional experience in scoring for film and television gained at UCLA, he has worked with a
variety of major artists from his base in Los Angeles. He has worked as an orchestra arranger for
Brian McKnight, Israel Houghton ,and Boyz II Men, as a music composer for The Grammys
Commercials, KBS (Korea), SBS (Korea), and also won Best CCM Producer at the 2015 Indie
Music Channel Awards.

 

• Ken Song, Guitar, Jazz Band, Audio Recording
   

Ken Song is an in-demand guitar player in Southern California. He was featured in Jazz Times and Just Jazz Guitar Magazine and was a main performer at Santa Barbara and Berkeley Jazz Festivals. Upon graduating with master in music degree from USC, he has worked with top K-Pop artists such as Lee Seung Whan, Boa, Lena Park and Lee Moon Sae, also with Melissa Manchester, Carl Verheyen, Scott Henderson, Ricky Lawson, Gregg Bissonette, Alex Acuna and Joe Porcaro. In 2006, Ken recorded his first solo album “Goin’ Wes”, which was played on jazz radio stations all over the country. He maintains busy performing and recording schedule around Los Angeles area and currently teaches at Los Angeles College Of Music, Cal Poly Pomona and Bethesda University.

• Hyun Kim, Keyboard

​

Hyun Kim started to play piano at a young age and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition in Korea. After moving to LA, she graduated the Keyboard program at MI and received the “Outstanding Student” award two years in a row. She soon joined the teaching staff at MI and put her passion into music.

She also graduated with a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from California Institute of the Arts and selected as a composer/performer for the Calarts Jazz Annual CD recording competition. Hyun has performed with musicians including Abraham Laboriel, David Hughes and prominent Korean singers; also conducted classes with Russell Ferrante and John Ferraro. She has been doing masterclass, clinic, band workshop in various locations, directing music for church band as well as producing, composing and arranging.

• Jingying(Daisy) Li, Piano, Music with Mommy

 

Daisy Li started the piano journey at the age of 4 and has been active on the stage
for over 20 years. She produced her first piano solo album at the age of 12. She has
experience teaching piano students of all levels for over 7 years, whether at the
college level or the music institutions worldwide.
