GROUP MUSIC LESSON

1) Course Description

Learn basic musical instrument techniques and theories from a professional musician. The group
instruction will be provided for 15 weeks from children to adult group.
Upon successful completion of the one-year course (two courses), participants will receive a certificate
of completion.

2) Group Music Lesson: Group lessons are only possible with at least 3 people.

 

Group lessons are offered in:

Group Piano Class (for age 3 to 6)


o Purpose: A great way for those who simply want to try out piano as an introduction at a lower cost. The end goal is to continue into private lessons after the students finish these courses.
Piano groups are usually 2 or 3 students.

 

o Lesson Time

  • Music for Young I (age 3 - 4), Friday 10:00 – 10:50am

  • Music for Young II (age 5 - 6), Friday 11:00 – 11:50am

 

o Course

  • MUC 101a,b – 110a,b Music Piano Class I – X (1 unit each)

Master Class for Vocalist

 

o Purpose: A great way for those who simply want to try out voice as an introduction at a lower
cost. The end goal is to continue into private lessons after the students finish these courses.
Vocal groups are usually 2 or 3 students.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday 5 – 7pm
 

o Course:

  • MUC 111a,b – 120a,b Master Class for Vocalist I – X (2 units each)

Music Technology Class (MIDI Sequencing)

 

o Purpose: In Music Technology class, students will learn the fundamentals of MIDI Sequencing
using the Sonar program. Instructor will demonstrate basic techniques for sequencing by MIDI
instruments, as well as guide the class through a final project at the end of the course.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday 4 – 6pm

 

o Course

  •  MUC 131a,b – 140a,b Music Technology Class I – X (2 units each)

Audio Recording Class

 

o Purpose: In Audio Recording class, students will learn the fundamentals of audio engineering and
sound recording using the Pro Tools program. Instructor will demonstrate basic techniques for
recording, mixing, and producing music, as well as guide the class through a final project at the
end of the course.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday 4 – 6pm

 

o Course

  •  MUC 141a,b – 150a,b Audio Recording Class I – X (2 units each)

Sound Design Class

 

o Purpose: In Multimedia class, students will learn the fundamentals of sound design and sound
mixing technique. Instructor will demonstrate basic techniques for sound design, scoring for film
and television, as well as guide the class through a final project at the end of the course.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday 6 – 8pm

 

o Course

  •  MUC 151a,b – 160a,b Sound Design Class I – X (2 units each)

Worship Band Class

 

o Purpose: Students have opportunities to play with other instruments. Making worship music
together and making friends together. Also to be a worship team member or leader in church.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday 4 – 6pm

 

o Course

  •  MUC 161a,b – 170a,b Worship Band Class I – X (2 units each)

Jazz Ensemble Class

 

o Purpose: Student have opportunities to play with other instruments. Making jazz music together
and making friends together.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday 6 – 8pm

 

o Course

  •  MUC 171a,b – 180a,b Jazz Ensemble Class I – X (2 units each)

Music with Mommy

 

o Purpose: For parents who are for a fun, engaging, and stimulating activity for their baby (1-2
years), our Music with Mommy class uses basic music concepts to help develop motor skills,
encourage socialization, and prepare your child for group interaction! This class is ideal for
parents who are looking to participate with their child.

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday & Saturday 10 – 10:50am

 

o Course

  •  MUC 181 & 182 Music with Mommy Class I & II (2 units each)

Arts with Mommy

 

o Purpose: For parents who are for a fun, engaging, and stimulating activity for their baby (1-2
years), our Arts with Mommy class uses basic arts concepts to help develop drawing skills,
encourage

 

o Lesson Time: Thursday & Saturday 11am – 11:50am

 

o Course

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON
